LTAD Stages

ELITEadp will follow Canada’s Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) model for athletic development. The LTAD is designed to assist student-athletes in establishing a clear path to better sport, greater health, and higher achievement.  Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) describes the things athletes need to be doing at specific ages and stages.

For student-athletes enrolled in ELITEadp:

Grade 10 - Stage 4: Train to Train (girls 11-15, boys 12-16)

Grade 11 & 12 - Stage 5: Train to Compete (girls 15-21, boys 16-23)
