Who can take ELITEadp?

Registered Students @ WGSS

Student-athletes playing at the National, Provincial or Elite Local level

Grade 10, 11 or 12 (September)

Community or High School competitive programs

Good Academic Standing

Highly Motivated

Committed to Training

Can I take other PE Classes as well as ELITEadp?
-
Grade 10 – No. Only one registered PE course
-
Grade 11/12 – Yes. You can take Edge & Aerobic Conditioning

Do I have to play a sport at WGSS to take ELITEadp?
-
No. You can play either community-based or high school – based sports
-
Must be currently playing at the National or Provincial Level
-
Must be identified at a high or an elite level at the Local level

Are there any costs in registering in ELITEadp?
-
No. However, there may be minimal costs for field trips to local supporting gyms and/or guest speakers. If there any costs associated with students taking ELITEadp, it will be disclosed in September.

What kind of support will get if I register in ELITEadp?

Student progress upheld with high standards academically and athletically
-
Teacher-Student Goal-Setting (reviewed each term)

Student’s 10-month program outlined in Individual Fitness Plans (IFP)

Regular contact: Students, Parents and Coaches and Program Director

How do I know if I am accepted for ELITEadp?

Applications are due February 23, 2017.

Review of applicants will be conducted by April 5, 2017.
